You won’t be making money on Pinterest for long if your account gets banned for violating the rules!
Signing up for a business Pinterest account is easy, free, and gives you access to a lot of great information.
This includes traffic, analytics, and Pinterest’s information on which of your pins are doing best. There’s a lot of information available at your fingertips.
Once you sign up from the account you will be given instructions to “claim your website.” This links your blog and your presence on Pinterest. This is a step you shouldn’t skip. Don’t worry, they make it ridiculously easy.

Here is a quick step-by-step tutorial on how to upload your Pin to your Pinterest account and link those images to get visitors and pageviews. Again, this is assuming you have already launched your blog.
- Step 1: Log into your Pinterest business account
- Step 2: Go to “Create” >> “Create Pin”
- Step 3: Select the desired PIN image from your computer drive and fill in the fields.

- Publish immediately or Publish at a later date (with a later date, you can pre-schedule your Pins, which I like to use)

Once you consistently create blog posts and pin out the images with the articles’ links, you’ll start seeing traffic to your site.
4. Building Your Pinterest Traffic Machine
Once the website is set to go and the profile to your business Pinterest account is properly set up, all that’s left is building that Pinterest traffic machine.
Granted, easier said than done. The good news is that this is far simpler than many people believe.
Creating a Killer Pinterest Account
The first step is getting a lot of experience using this social media site. The best teacher is experienced. If you want to master Pinterest you need to go through being a beginner and learn your stuff first hand.
Every website or online platform is a little bit different. Learning what the people who spend a lot of time on Pinterest are looking for (and what they aren’t).
This type of insight not only helps you create better pins that will attract attention and shares but also teaches you what to avoid. Learn how the online environment works.
Create Pinterest boards and pins.
The next step is to create Pinterest boards and complete your Pinterest profile.
Create at least 5-10 personal boards that are related to the content you publish on your website.
Now you can start creating boards and making pins for your Pinterest account. I recommend using Canva to make pins when you’re a beginner. The service is free and easy to use.
make sure to sprinkle relevant keywords into your personal boards and pin descriptions. By the way, when I say “sprinkle” I don’t mean keyword stuffing!
Engaging in group boards is another way to engage with different target audiences and drive traffic to your website or store.
An easy way to start is figuring out which boards your competitors and influencers are using. Go to their Pinterest pages and make a note of what boards they are saving.
When you see an active board in line with what your company offers, go ahead and request to join the group.
You may also want to turn existing boards into group boards. To invite others to participate in an existing project, simply tap the “plus” button under the board title and loop in other collaborators.
As the group owner, you’ll have full control over who participates.
PRO TIP: An alternative to joining group boards is to start using Tailwind Communities. This will allow you to upload your pins to each community (like a group board) where members will share them.
Aside from the Communities feature, I also use Tailwind to schedule my pins to both group boards and my boards. Since using Tailwind, my traffic increased from 500 to over 3,500 daily page views (sometimes hitting as high as 5,000 per day)!

In the beginning, you will want to play around a bit to get the hang of what Pinterest is like. Being comfortable with the platform and understanding how things work is crucial before you start using tools to improve your results.
Canva: A Great Beginner Tool
Right away you’ll want to get familiar with Canva. Pins don’t have to be unedited pictures. Look at using editing software or tools to add text, highlight, change background, shift color, and more. There are plenty of tools for creating stunning pins that bring out even more than the original picture ever could.

The Tailwind App is a great tool for scheduling pins. This takes a little bit of time to set up but can be an incredible time saver in addition to a very effective tool. This allows you to take a bulk bit of time to set up pins for days or even weeks ahead of time.
Being able to automate that process is a major time saver that lets you put out more quality content in less time. In addition, Tailwind also creates “tribes” among its users.
This allows influencers to connect, find more interested followers, and reach new audiences in their niche.
There is a free trial period for first-time users but after that, this is a subscription tool. However, when properly used it is well worth the cost.

Once you clearly understand how your Pins are performing, you can begin promoting them with online ads.
By running paid ads you can expand your business’s reach, generate more traffic to your website, and increase purchases.
Using Pinterest Ads Manager to drive profits
Pinterest provides access to the Ads Manager tool for creating and managing Pinterest campaigns and monitoring performance.
One cool feature of Pinterest Ads Manager is the ability to duplicate existing ads. So if a campaign turns out to be successful, it’s easy to replicate and split-test it.
Ads Manager also lets you run multiple campaigns simultaneously, and you can organize campaigns into ad groups if they share similar themes.

When you have a new blog or website, I recommend focusing your efforts on learning how to drive traffic from Pinterest for beginners and monetizing your blog! It’s a lot easier and faster to get traffic from Pinterest than Google when your website is new.
When Pinterest is used correctly and consistently, you can drive a lot of traffic to your blog and make money through display advertising.
Again, you need to write blog posts that are helpful to your readers! Depending on how many ads you put and which ad network you’re with, you can potentially make between $6 to $50 per 1,000 page views each day.

Pins
A Pinterest Pin is simply something that you post on Pinterest. When you find something that catches your eye — or that you want to sell — Pin it to a board for others to see.
Users can also re-pin on Pinterest. This happens when a user takes an existing Pin and saves it to another Pinterest board.
Rich Pin
A Rich Pin is a type of Pin that shows metadata in the actual Pin. It provides a more comprehensive experience and increases engagement.
Pinners
Pinterest calls users Pinners. To become a Pinner, you simply need to create an account.
Exploring Pinterest
The first thing that you’ll see when exploring Pinterest is the home page, which contains recommended Pins based on the interests you select. You’ll also see content from other accounts, boards, and topics that you choose to follow.
To research new Pinterest ideas, navigate away from the website and start browsing the internet for things you like. For example, you might find a picture of a pair of homemade candle holders or a tutorial on how to make holiday cookies.
Look for a social banner on the website where you’re browsing, and select the Pinterest logo to save media to one of your boards.
4. Claim your site
At this point, you should have a working knowledge of Pinterest and a general understanding of whether or not it’s right for you and your brand.
But before you dive in, you must understand that running a social media site like Pinterest is a big undertaking that requires regular upkeep — especially if you’re part of an active community or working with a popular brand. So, in general, it’s a good idea to make sure you have the bandwidth to maintain a Pinterest page.
If you’re still on board and have a website, seal the deal by claiming it.
Claiming your site allows you to access analytics for the Pins that you publish from your website, as well as Pins that other users create using your content.
When you claim a website, your profile picture appears next to any Pins that originate from your website. In addition, you get a “follow” button for your Pinterest account that lives next to your website URL on your profile.
The site also offers account verification. Verified merchants get a blue checkmark, while creators and verified accounts get red checkmarks. These indicators help build trust with viewers and show your account is legitimate.

Ideas are short video clips that Pinners can tap through. The site supports up to 20 frames, with each one lasting up to 60 seconds.

Pinterest offers powerful analytics for tracking the performance of boards, ads, and Pins in real-time. This way, you can see which posts are generating the most engagement.

Here is a breakdown of some of the top metrics to track on Pinterest.
Impressions
Impressions indicate how many times your Pins or ads appear on the screen.
Engagements
Engagements refer to saves, Pin clicks, carousel card swipes, and outbound clicks for Pins.
Outbound clicks
Outbound clicks indicate the number of times Pinners perform actions that send them to a destination outside of Pinterest.
Outbound click rate
Outbound click rate is the total number of clicks to the destination URL linked to the Pin, divided by the total number of times your Pins appeared on the screen.
Pin clicks
Pin clicks refer to the total number of clicks on your Pin or ad leading to content off of Pinterest.
Pin click rate
Pin click rate is the total number of clicks on your Pin or ad divided by the total number of times Pins or ads appear on the screen.
Video views
Video views measure the number of views that last at least two seconds, with 50 percent of the video in view.
Engagement rate
Engagement rate is the total number of engagements with your Pins divided by the total number of times your Pins were seen. This includes Pin clicks, saves, and outbound clicks.
Save rate
Save rate is the total number of people who saw or engaged with your Pins.

If you’re just starting, go with inexpensive reliable hosting. This gives you control over your website. If you get enough traffic so you need even better (and much more expensive) hosting, then you can always do that later.

You want, no scratch that, you NEED control over your website. Go with Bluehost. Do NOT go on “free to blog” platforms like WordPress.com (not the same as bloggers who talk about WordPress websites) or Blogger.

Pick something you’re interested in and make sure both your website and Pinterest focus on that same topic.
A quality blog will have several features that make it stand out from the rest. A lot of these are the same things that Google looks for when judging what content to rank.
The blog will focus on a specific area that builds authority. There will be multiple articles that provide quality in-depth content.
This isn’t just quantity. 5,000 words of fluff doesn’t help you at all. Your articles need to have great information, be trustworthy, and be easy to read and understand.

If you don’t know where to start, think about creating step-by-step blog posts answering common questions people have. Then create some large in-depth authority posts.

- Market demand: What are people searching A LOT for on Google and Pinterest? I recommend using SEMrush for some guidance. Billions of people out there want answers and solutions to their problems!
Remember that readers need your help with something. Most of them aren’t here to read about your problems. When they land on your page, they will subconsciously ask:
“What’s in it for me?”
Your ideal spot is to hit all these 3 elements (passion, skills, and market demand)!
I know it’s easier said than done, but if you put the time and effort into figuring this out, you will be rewarded!
PRO TIP: You don’t have to be an expert in your field to be considered skilled. For example, you could document your learning journey and teach others your mistakes and what you’ve learned. Lessons add a ton of value to your readers (as long as it’s what people are searching for A LOT)!

Even those that don’t will almost certainly do at least a cursory check on your website. Having a good-looking blog with great content will help you fly through the approval process.
Concentrating on creating really good blog posts will also help you rank in Google and get organic traffic from them, as well.
Once you have that great website with some truly epic posts, then look at how to monetize. With a focus on Pinterest, several options can work well.
Affiliate marketing and display ads are both going to be popular options. This makes sense since they are both really easy and effective ways to earn money from your website.
An established website that gets a lot of traffic from Pinterest offers other options, as well. While affiliate sales and display ad income are nice, there are other ways to make time on Pinterest pay off handsomely.

It is important to disclose on your site that you have affiliate links.Affiliate earnings will always be more than advertising earnings. It’s more effort but you get more money.

But.. you need to have a decent following on your profile (10K followers or more) to attract brands that pay you.
Brand sponsorships are where you work with brands to promote them in exchange for a fee.
To generate a decent fee for doing this, you will have to have a successful Pinterest account which you can get from the analytics and Google Analytics.
Brands will want to know that you’re maintaining a decent following to be able to reach a good number of potential customers.

This is part of the reason that the two ways of making money off your blog work so well together. It’s also why we’re putting them in the same section for making money on Pinterest since the steps and methods are going to be the same.
Google AdSense
Yes, you can make money with Pinterest by displaying ads on your blog with Google Adsense.
When you’re a brand new blogger, I recommend applying to Google Adsense because they do not require you to have a minimum amount of page views.
The program most people start with is Google AdSense. AdSense is great to start because there are no minimum traffic numbers. This means you can make money on Pinterest even early on because after you set up your website with just a few good articles you can put AdSense on there.
Over time you’ll want to look at the other display ad options out there. AdSense is a good start. Most website owners find that other display ad programs end up providing much higher income for the same amount of traffic.
Many of them have traffic requirements. This makes AdSense an ideal start for display ads, but as your organic and Pinterest traffic to your website increases it will be time to look to upgrade.
Mediavine
Mediavine requires you to have up to 25,000 monthly sessions as recorded by Google Analytics. The blog also needs to be at least four months old. The jump in income from AdSense to Mediavine is often quite large. Commonly website owners describe anywhere from 3x to 6x daily earnings compared to AdSense.
The display ads are similar to AdSense but require a little bit of formatting and a WordPress plugin to function properly. The results often speak for themselves.

Up until now, I talked about how you can make money on Pinterest with a blog.
So, yes, you can still make money with affiliate marketing on Pinterest without a blog. However, I still recommend starting one because a blog gives you so much more flexibility!
Also, beware of this approach because some companies don’t allow you to use direct affiliate links on Pinterest pins, such as Amazon.
So, research this before you plan to add any affiliate links to your pins that lead users directly to the product’s landing page.
I also feel that the blog approach converts better (that’s just my personal opinion) but things work differently for different people.
I suggest you test out what works best for you! When using direct affiliate marketing on Pinterest, be sure to disclose your affiliate relationship by using hashtags such as #affiliate or #affiliate link in your pin description.
Pros: You won’t have to write reviews or your own experience on a blog to earn a commission from a referral or affiliate link. Just simply create pins and enter your special affiliate link before publishing them onto the Pinterest platform.
Cons: It’s very hard (pretty much near impossible) to earn any commission with affiliate links alone without a following or blog post that describes your personal experience. The highest return usually comes with more effort (e.g. blogging), but the long-term commitment is worth it.
In addition to it being difficult to convince strangers to purchase products with your affiliate link, certain companies do not allow you to post your affiliate links directly onto a Pinterest pin. They want you to post your affiliate link on your blog.

- Add an affiliate disclosure on every pin you add on Pinterest. Use something like #sponsored #ad or #affiliate to disclose that you are using an affiliate link.
- Always read the guidelines of the affiliate program before you promote.

Now that you know a variety of ways to make money on Pinterest, here are some tips to help you hopefully get better results:
1. Have a strategy
Having a Pinterest monetization strategy is important if you want to see results.
For example, if you want to work with brands, you may want to create more Idea Pins to increase impressions and followers.
Or if you want to grow blog traffic and make money through that, you may want to write more blog posts with buying intent and use more Standard Pins (since as of right now, Standard Pins tend to be the easiest pin type to get outbound clicks from).
Having a strategy is going to be essential to get the results you are aiming for.
2. Be consistent
Consistency on Pinterest is really important for seeing growth.
The more you pin, the more chances you have to get traffic, grow your following, get impressions, get sales, and more.
You should publish at least one new pin per day. Some Pinterest marketers will say more, and some will do less. (But if you can do more, that’s great!)
3. Have a niche
Having a niche is not essential for success or making money on Pinterest, but not having a niche may make certain things more difficult.
For example, it may be easier to secure brand deals with certain brands if you consistently make content within their niche versus miscellaneous niches.
Or, if you have a loyal and niche audience, it may be easier to make affiliate sales by promoting products you know they are interested in.
Do you need a niche? No. But it can help!
4. Do keyword and trend research
Keyword and trend research is important for Pinterest because they help you find content ideas and to ultimately optimize your pins for Pinterest SEO.
Keyword and trend research is not as intimidating as it seems. There are so many ways that you can find keywords right on Pinterest.

There are also other tools that you can use to help you with Pinterest keyword and trend research. Tip: Don’t be afraid of long-tail keywords on Pinterest! Long-tail keywords are more specific keywords, and although they may get less searches, they are often easier to rank for and get more targeted traffic. I have seen some of my best results from targeting these keywords!

There is no exact answer for this. Since you don’t need a ton of followers to get your pins seen on Pinterest, you could start making money with affiliate links, selling products, etc. with a small amount of followers!
But, if you want to work with brands, brands may want to work with pinners who have a larger following.
However, you can start your monetization efforts with no followers!
Of course, this can be different for everyone!
How long does it take to make money on Pinterest?
Again, there is no exact timeline for how long it takes to make money on Pinterest, and it will likely be different for everyone.
Most Pinterest marketers believe that it takes at least 3 months to begin seeing growth on Pinterest and even up to 8 or 9 months to see significant results.
With that said, you can definitely expect it to take some time. Pinterest is not an overnight success type of platform. Instead, it’s more of a long-term game, but don’t give up too easily because the results can be worth it!

There are some additional things that you can do to make money on Pinterest which we will go through below.
Make sure you have a business account
This is a really important step to take if you want to work with brands.
The reason that having a business account is important is that it gives you access to analytics.
If you work with a brand it is likely that they will ask you for information from your analytics.
Switching to a business account is free and very quick.
Be active and pin often
Pinterest will reward you for being active on the platform and show your pins to more people.
They like to see people using the app by uploading pins and pinning from other accounts.
You will need to be pinning every day and uploading at minimum one new pin per day.
Treat Pinterest like the search engine it is (SEO everything)
A common mistake that people make on Pinterest is to forget how it is a search engine and not a social media platform.
The fact that it is a search engine means that there are different techniques and strategies that you can use to make your pins popular.
Make sure you use keywords (you can always get these from the suggestions when you type in a word) on your pins, boards, and profile.
Create beautiful looking pins
As well as doing SEO well on Pinterest, creating amazing looking pins is hugely important.
Say you are scrolling through your Pinterest feed and a pin makes you stop. Something about that pin got your attention – which is what you want to do with your pins.
You can use sites such as Canva, and Picmonkey or platforms such as Photoshop to create your pins.
Be sure to use a large bold font and stay away from the script-looking font which is hard to read.
Describe your pins as a superfan
This is a tip that we find works well for us. When you are filling in the description of the pin, you can do it from someone else’s point of view.
What I mean by that is that you can make it look like someone has tried out your pin and pinned it for themself.
If you write the description as if a super fan has checked out the article and is recommending it, other people will see this and be more inclined to click through.
Use Tailwind as your scheduler
It’s a well-known fact that pinning manually is great for your Pinterest account, but it means a lot of time on the platform.
One of the best ways to pin continuously is with a scheduler. Tailwind is the best one to use because it is a Pinterest approved scheduler.
Have a great looking media kit
A media kit is a pack that shows all of your business statistics and what you can bring to the table.
If you are doing work with brands then they will probably ask for your media kit.
It’s important that you have a professional-looking media kit. You can create it yourself or ask a graphic designer to put one together for you.
Always disclose your partnerships
This is something that’s really important to note when you are in business. You need to declare when you are working with someone.
This is whether you are working with affiliate links or on sponsored posts. It is a legal requirement that you declare when it is paid for work.

First of all, we need to be clear here.
Pinterest is NOT a blogging platform.
It is a visual content-sharing platform, and it should not be confused with a blog. So, don’t get the terms, “blog” and “Pinterest” mixed up.
Yes, Pinterest allows you to post images, videos, and other types of content that lead to your blog, website, and even YouTube channel, but it does not provide the same kind of blog-publishing capabilities that sites like WordPress or Blogger offer.
Unlike a blog, Pinterest is not designed to host long-form content.
However, Pinterest is a useful tool to help bloggers promote their blogs and reach new audiences by allowing them to create pin images that link back to their blogs. That’s exactly how bloggers, like myself, get tons of traffic from Pinterest, which allows us to make money online.
It is a great way to share visuals and gain inspiration for your blog. With the right strategy, Pinterest can be a powerful tool for driving traffic to your blog.
2. How to use Pinterest for blogging?
Now that you are aware that you can earn money on Pinterest with a blog, I’m going to talk about how to use Pinterest for blogging.
As I mentioned, you can use Pinterest as a platform or channel to drive traffic to your blog. Because without traffic, your blog won’t make money.
The first and possibly the most important thing to consider when using Pinterest for blogging is to write blog posts on your website followed by a Pinterest pin, which you can use to promote your blog.
There are many different types of pins including the original Static pin along with their animated pins known as Video and Idea pins.
I create all three types of these pins for my Pinterest account (e.g. Static, Video, and Ideas), but I personally get the best results (meaning the highest blog traffic) by creating Static pins, which you can view, and follow my Pinterest profile here.
You should create attractive images, graphics, videos, and other types of visuals that will draw attention to your blog posts. On top of that, make sure your headlines and titles are click-worthy because they will ultimately determine whether or not your pins get clicked on and shared.
The more clicks you can get back to your blog, the higher your traffic from Pinterest. As a result, the higher your potential income as a blogger; but of course, that will also depend on what monetization strategies you use on your blog (e.g. display ads, affiliate links, sponsored posts, selling your own products, etc.).

There is a huge misconception that the more followers you have on Pinterest, the more money you’ll make. This is a myth because more followers do NOT always mean more money!
I’ve seen a lot of Pinterest business accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers (e.g. more than 10,000 or even 20,000 followers), but they don’t make a lot of money. Some may not even make any money!
On the other hand, I’ve also seen accounts with 3,000, or even less than 1,000 followers who earn good money by using Pinterest and drive traffic back to their blog or page. These bloggers or business owners use various monetization methods such as display ads, affiliate marketing, writing sponsored content, and/or selling their own digital products.
If you’re a beginner at using Pinterest, and you’re trying to grow your followers, this is what you need to always keep in mind.
Attract high-quality traffic and the right people to monetize using Pinterest
It all comes down to attracting high-quality traffic (also known as the right audience or people) to your content and/or the products you’re promoting on Pinterest.
Attracting the right audience means you are bringing them to your blog post, video, or page that will immediately solve a specific problem they are currently struggling with.
Of course, the more followers you have, the higher the chances you may be able to leverage your authority and make more money by using Pinterest as your traffic source. Although your number of followers doesn’t translate to how much income you can earn, it doesn’t hurt to naturally grow your Pinterest followers over time.
4. How do you get 1,000 followers on Pinterest?
Growing your Pinterest followers to your first 1,000 won’t happen overnight.
When you’re new and just starting, I don’t recommend focusing on counting your number of followers on Pinterest. That will just distract you from creating quality content and gaining quality followers. Remember, you want to attract the right followers and not just any random follower for the sake of boosting your Pinterest numbers.
From my real and personal experience, you are better off with 900 followers who are true supporters compared to 10,000 followers who don’t even care about what you have to say, but are following you on Pinterest just for the sake of following you.
When you attract the right followers who are actually genuinely interested in you and your recommendations, you’ll stand a higher chance of making money with your blog by targeting the right audience. This is more intentional, and you’ll build more meaningful relationships that way.
Grow your Pinterest followers from scratch and make money over time
So, instead, this is what I did to grow my first 1,000 followers on Pinterest within 7-8 months with my newer blog and account WITHOUT leveraging my first Pinterest account.
This number will just naturally grow at a faster rate over time when you keep pinning and creating new content on your blog.
First, start a new blog, and post valuable content or blog posts regularly to build your brand and gain trust.

Once you’ve created your pin images, attach the link to your blog post and save (or pin) them to your relevant Pinterest boards. In order to get Pinterest followers and traffic to your blog, you need to promote your articles.
While you promote or pin or save your images using your Pinterest account (which links directly to your blog posts), I highly recommend creating new content at least once a week. Once that new blog post is published, don’t forget to promote that on Pinterest along with your older articles.
I personally wrote one blog post each week when I first started so that I could build up a collection of articles over time. It’s good to add one article each week to your collection so that you have more content to promote on Pinterest as time goes by.
Today, I don’t write as much, but instead, I promote all my timeless and evergreen articles that I wrote a few years ago.
You will need to come up with a pinning strategy and be consistent over time to see your followers grow naturally over time.
5. How many views do you need to make money on Pinterest?
The number of views you get on Pinterest doesn’t guarantee that you’ll make money. What’s more important is creating quality content that people enjoy and engage with.
Even if you don’t have a lot of views, you can still make a good income if your content is useful and interesting to your target audience. Having a smaller but highly engaged audience who share similar interests can be more valuable than having a large audience who aren’t very interested in your content.
Let me give you an example. I run 3 Pinterest accounts for my businesses that make me a full-time income. It’s surprising, but my smaller account actually earns me more money than my bigger one, even though it has a lot less views. To put things into perspective, my larger account has 550X more views and generates more traffic but less income! Crazy, right?
So, to make money on Pinterest, focus on creating great content that connects with your audience and encourages them to keep coming back. You can also offer products or services that match what your audience needs and wants to make some money.
6. Does Pinterest pay you for views?
No, Pinterest does not directly pay you for views. However, by driving traffic from Pinterest to your own website or blog, you can monetize that traffic through methods like display ads, sponsored content, or affiliate marketing.
7. How do I get noticed on Pinterest?
As mentioned earlier, building a successful blog and a solid Pinterest account doesn’t happen overnight, so it will take time to gain followers and get noticed on Pinterest.
Make sure to follow my tips from the section above on how to get 1,000 followers on Pinterest.
On top of that, while you’re creating your blog and building your Pinterest account, I recommend following other Pinterest accounts within your blog niche that are more established and have higher authority than yours.
That way, this will also give Pinterest an idea of what your blog or Pinterest account is about (e.g. sewing, home décor, personal finance, budgeting, travel, etc.). When Pinterest has an idea of what your account is about, it will recommend other users and pinners who are interested in those topics to follow you, hence growing your followers naturally over time.
8. Is it easy to make money on Pinterest?
The question, “is it easy to make money on Pinterest” is commonly asked a lot of the time, so I thought I’d just answer it here directly.
No one said making money on Pinterest is easy or a piece of cake. In fact, nothing in life is ever easy. Too many people try to search for “easy” ways to make money or “easy” ways to get rich, but I can tell you for a fact that “easy” does NOT exist no matter what kind of glamorous stories you hear online or in the media.
It actually requires time, effort, and dedication.
But of course, if you’re like me, who is super passionate and excited about learning how to use Pinterest to monetize your blog, then the progress will seem much easier because you’ll actually enjoy your journey of learning how to earn a full-time income online.

One method, as already mentioned in this article, is to create pins that link back to products or services that you are an affiliate of. When someone clicks on your pin and makes a purchase from the linked site, you earn a commission.
Another method is to use Pinterest as a way to drive traffic to your own blog or website, which I’m a total huge fan of! This is the method that blew my mind when I started monetizing on Pinterest.
You can create pins that link back to your site and then use advertising or other monetization methods on your site to make money.
So, while you can’t directly make money from your pins on Pinterest (because Pinterest, the company, does not directly pay you), there are some indirect and great methods that you can use to earn income using this platform.
It just takes a little creativity and effort to make it happen, so I highly recommend starting your blog and using Pinterest to your advantage!
10. Can you make money on Pinterest by posting pictures?
You can’t make money on Pinterest just by posting pictures. But, you can earn in two main ways:
- Direct Traffic: Post images on Pinterest that link to your blog or website. When people visit your site, you can make money from ads.
- Affiliate Marketing: Share product images with your affiliate link. If someone buys using your link, you earn a commission. I’ve found it’s more effective to put these links on my blog than directly on Pinterest.
